Straw-moltens of light were coming in crusadely; bending their knees to the glass-archaic. Dripping down its semi-permeable... It would have been interesting if glasses were semi-permeable membranes instead of refractive surfaces... Looking at: the sun's golden light had dispersed to shine a light, one that shed the ersatz of this society on the protective glass, then, purified with authenticity, carrying the torch from it, took it to the velvet interior beyond. The beautiful green velvet of the antique watch was shining with warmth of the sun, the dials were not excessively ornamented but were treated with refinement. I was amazed by its beautiful design. I kept it on my left-hand, as I was relying on my right-hand for driving, and at the moment, here in the highway... 4:57 PM: the clock showed. Not this one, the one my wrist, but the antique watch I just secured from the auction. I'm keeping it as it is: 6:59, no AM, no PM. The banal artificiality was not required in the old world. I wonder what happened to the original owner, I heard it belonged to a distinguished poet from 17th century. I couldn't care less, I just needed a piece from more organic times. Look at the way it's responding to light, I could bask in its beauty indefinitely. Let's hope, the sunlight remains for the time I'm on the highway. "God!!! You took time off from your malice to give me the tumultuous fervour, now hold the sunlight awake for sometime more". Ha Ha Ha! Here in the New World Federation, the highways are some of the most abandoned places in the whole continent, once upon a time, it used to be large areas of unbroken forests, I heard about the original Amazon Forest, it's simply not what it used to be, now it seems like highways have taken that place of forbidden, the lone world. It's been many years since all ports of continental commerce and the vast majority of miscellaneous travels were transferred to airborne media. Cars were still the most popular form of mobility within the city-states, the more privileged classes had access to airborne vehicles within the city, not just long-range cases. The government had not yet outlawed the use of highways completely, but it was a tricky business to arrange car trips on the highway. And no one wanted the things that await in the highways.
