I haven't seen or heard from him in 26 years. He doesn't feel familiar to me now, the calmly cocky behaviour is still there, but how far does outside demeanour go? It's clear as daylight that all people, not just Frank, not just me, not just my son... Who by the way seems like someone just like Frank but from the bowels of nihilism. I haven't spoke to him about his views in detail, neither has he been forthcoming or assertive about them; but it's apparent that he has an ubiquitous disdain about the whole spectrum of the human condition. Frank whereas believes humankind only thrives in war and freedom. But why did wars happen and when did they? ... Everyone presents a persona... And it changes... I don't know him anymore... "I had a feeling it was you, Frank, from the start. How have you been?" "You see, at the time of crisis, especially as profound as the one we are currently facing, exchanging pleasantries is a joy we cannot afford. It's not like we're in the battlefield at this very instant, no one would judge us for it. Two minutes of pleasantries culminating into hours. There is time, indeed there is, what's not there is... The circumstances. A bitter time as now could not possibly support the pleasantness of the world, as it is now, it is akin to minor distortions happening amidst an ocean of forced mnemonics. It is like hugging in an air-conditioned room where your audibility is null. A better discussion would be: are you aware of what's happening in Tatterstown?"
