I. (Cont.)On the venue in front, in a corner, there is a canopied structure where 10 giant cauldrons are put to prepare meal for the feast. Khichuri and Payeshanna, only these two dishes for everyone to their stomach's desire; it will take nearly the whole night for everyone to be fed. Each person takes the sitting for dinner after the nightfall and nigh wants to get up before the dawnbreak. There's a decree straight from the King: everyone is entitled to eat as much as they want. Some of them wants to satiate the whole year's hunger on this one night as if. In the morning, people dozed off with the leftover in front would be seen everywhere in the venue.
Maharaja is taking photographs from under a large black cloth. Among those standing close to him, one is called Shashibhusan Singh. In order to execute Tripura's governance and education, the King has employed several specialists, intellectuals and executives from Kolkata and Shashibhusan is the highest educated of them all. He is a B.A. graduate and a Brahmmo, and was involved with Deben Thakur's "Tattyabodhini" journal previously. He is the private tutor of the King's princes. Shashibhusan sometimes utters things that shock the others of the royal court, however, the King himself seems to have not just tolerance but genuine interest in those expressions. Shashibushan is quite an articulate and convincing person.
Shashibhusan is of fair complexion and inspiring masculinity, and very sharp in attitude. He is equally luxurious about his daily wearables: bleached white dhuti and pantalon always seem to maintain their radiance and sparkle, brushed hair reaching the shoulders, in eyes are thin-rimmed glasses of a golden frame. As he was inspecting the imminent feast with a monocular, his hand reached for the shoulder of another beside him. This man is Jadunath Bhattacharya, an accomplished maestro belonging to Vishnapur House of Classical Music; he's a vital member of the King's court. Shashibhusan asked him: "Mister Bhatt, you have been in this kingdom for so long, let us see, can you recognise these tribes seperately? For instance, could you pick apart the differences between the Noyatiya and the Orang, eh?"
Jadunath is a gentle, calm type of person; outside of his interest and expertise— music, he did not concern himself with nor understood much of the things out there. In a slightly silly manner, he replied: "Uhm, how would I know? Appears the same to me."
Shashibhusan insisted, "Look closer. Put more concentration, please."
Jadunath replied, "All I see is an endless view of heads. I can't even tell the men and women apart from here".
This time, Shashibhusan suspended the monocular in front of Jadunath's eyes: "can you look closer again?"
